CASA fundraiser
BIG DAY FOR CASA CHILDREN AT UTOPIA SALON & DAY SPA!
Local salon's staff provides support for communities abused and neglected children.
Vineland- Employees and customers of Utopia Salon & Day Spa raised $3001 Sunday in support of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties, Inc.
Utopia Salon & Spa Owner David Crescenzo and the staff of "Team Utopia" generously donated their time and talent to participate in "You're Only Young Once", a six hour fundraiser. Lead by Cindy Smith, DiAnne Scarpa, and Barbie Olivieri and 18 other staff members, the Vineland salon on East Avenue offered customers an array of salon and spa services from facials and massage to nail and hair treatments. Customers also received goody bags with Utopia items and CASA literature. Utopia also raffled off a special spa package and donated the proceeds, as well as a generous $250 donation by Blaise Menzoni. "One of our most valuable assets in life is our time", stated owner David Crescenzo, "and to see so many people give up their day and raise $3001 for a great cause was very special".
"The Utopia staff was very touched by the service that CASA provides to the community, and they all pitched in and declined payment for the day", said Cindy Holt-Smth. "We cannot think of a more worthy cause than an organization that supports the children of our community", added fellow employee DiAnne Scarpa. We really appreciate the support given by Utopia, it will affect the lives of local children, stated Deanna Davis, Executive Director of CASA.
